Groups are welcome to visit the Methodist Archives and Library not only during regular library hours but also at other times by arrangement. One of the most popular formats is for groups to arrange an evening visit during which a short introduction is given to the treasures of the archives and a hands-on guide to researching family and church histories. To help the library prepare for group visits, group leaders should contact MHSI at least two weeks prior to the visit.
Groups of more than fifteen guests will be divided into smaller groups. At the request of the group, it can be arranged for a display that highlights our collections or a selection of materials from a specific collection, topic, or era, such as the history of Methodist Women’s Organisations, the story of Methodism in Ireland etc.
Scheduling a Group Visit
Leaders of church or genealogical interest groups should contact one of the MHSI volunteers at archives@irishmethodist.org or +44(0)28 9068 6934 ext. MHSI will try to accommodate all group visit requests but cannot guarantee any date.
