Kenneth Todd DESCRIPTION:[caption id="attachment_1450" align="alignleft" width="300"] Cl iff College 'Joyful News' students on trek in the 1930s.[/caption]\n\nFor more than 100 years Irish lay and prospective ministerial students have tr avelled to Cliff College\, Derbyshire\, for initial formation as Christian workers and evangelists. Many of the 250 plus who made the journey later entered the Irish Methodist ministry and brought with them the ethos of Cl iff College and its founder\, Thomas Champness. This lecture explores the historical and continuing significance of Cliff College for the Methodist Church in Ireland.\n\nThe Rev. Ken Todd\, a former President of the Method ist Church in Ireland served for 12 years with the Methodist Church\, Sier ra Leone\, before returning to service in Ireland. He has written several articles on the history of Methodism in Sierra Leone and co-authored a bio graphy of the late Rev. S.
